  15. MINIMAL Computer Hardware / Software Requirements

  31. RUNNING THE PROGRAM
  32. ------------------------------------------------------------
  33. Under Windows 95 "Cyber Photographer" 
  34. utilizes an auto run feature. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM 
  35. drive and the CD should start on its own.

  37. Under Windows 3.1, insert the Cyber Photographer CD into the CD-ROM 
  38. drive. Open the FILE MANAGER and click on the "Cyber Photographer" icon 
  39. to play.

  42. QUICKTIME 
  43. ------------------------------------------------------------
  44. The "Cyber Photographer" program lives on 
  45. the CD-ROM and does not modify your hard disk in any way. 
  46. However, for it to run properly, QuickTime (version 2.03 or 
  47. newer) must be installed on your machine. QuickTime 2.03 is 
  48. included on the CD-ROM.

  50. To install it from Windows 95, choose "Run" from the "Start" 
  51. menu. Click "Browse", then click on the "Cyber Photographer" disk icon. 
  52. Choose "QTIME.exe", click "OK" to make the selection, then 
  53. click "OK" to run the install program.

  55. To install QuickTime from Windows 3.1, choose "Run" from the "File" 
  56. menu. Click "Browse", then click on the "Cyber Photographer" disk icon. 
  57. Choose "QTIME.exe", click "OK" to make the selection, then 
  58. click "OK" to run the install program.

  70. SYSTEM CONFLICTS
  71. ------------------------------------------------------------

  73. Many programs use up memory and CPU cycles that may be needed 
  74. to run "Cyber Photographer." If you have any 
  75. programs which may interrupt game play or use needed memory -- 
  76. automatic screen savers for example -- you may want to turn 
  77. them off before you begin.

  80. MEMORY PROBLEMS
  81. ------------------------------------------------------------
  82. Cyber Photographer requires at least 5 
  83. megabytes (5,000K) of free memory to run properly. Windows 
  84. uses up a great deal of the computer's memory. On a computer 
  85. with 8 megabytes total memory, you may need to turn off system 
  86. programs in order to free up additional memory.

  88. Be sure Virtual Memory is turned off.

  91. UNDOCUMENTED FEATURES
  92. ------------------------------------------------------------
  93. The printing program of the disc has a few undocumented features.   
  94. First if you hold the SHIFT or OPTION key down while clicking the print 
  95. icon, the print setup and print control dialog boxes will appear.  This 
  96. may be handy for doing multiple copies or selecting paper tray, etc.

  98. If you click slightly above the print icon when print a month, the disc 
  99. will print an entire year starting with the current month.  Each month 
  100. will feature a different snapshot.   If you do the same thing (clicking 
  101. slightly above the print icon) when printing a card, then the disc will 
  102. print the selected card with every snap shot on the light table.
